Energy Development Company bags contract worth Rs 22.47 crore

Energy Development Company has bagged a contract worth Rs 22.47 crore from Uttarakhand Jal Vidhyut Nigam for engineering, procurement and construction of 2 X 135 MW Limchangad Hydra Electric Project. The contract is to be completed by September, 2013.

Recently, as per the terms of memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Energy Development Company and Government of Arunachal Pradesh, the Hydro Power Projects allotted to company by the said government had been transferred to individual wholly owned subsidiary companies.

Energy Development Company (EDCL) incorporated in 1995, is engaged in wind power (3MW) and hydro power (15MW) generation at its units located in Karnataka, contracts management in the infrastructure sector and providing consultancy services in hydro power generation.
