Mahindra and Mahindra's workers of engine facility at Igatpuri continued tools down strike for the eighth day, with both the management and the union refusing to blink first. This strike has already suffered a production loss of around 5,000 units due to the ongoing agitation.

The workers are firm on their demand that the two suspended workers be immediately taken back. On the other hand the management has put a condition that the suspended workers will be reinstated only after the agitation is called-off and work at the plant resumes.
