-0.14 (-1.46%) Idea Cellular, India’s fourth-biggest cellular carrier, has unveiled another Android based 3G smartphone - Aurus 2 - its first Jelly Bean-based device. The new device is priced at Rs 6,490 and is targeted at existing 2G users who wish to upgrade to 3G in semi-urban and rural markets.
The new smartphone is powered with a 1 GHz processor and offers video-calling facility. It has got a 3.5-inch touch-screen and a 3.2 megapixel camera. Besides, the cellular carrier is offering data packs of Rs 261 with the device for which users can get 1.6 GB of 3G data and Idea TV subscription free for the first 3 months.
Idea Cellular, an AV Birla group company, provides Global System for Mobile communications (GSM)-based wireless service at the pan-India level; it is present in all 22 telecom circles.
