Coal India’s arm despatches 100 MT coal in record time

Coal India’s subsidiary -- South Eastern Coalfields (SECL) has despatched 100 million tonnes (MT) of coal in record time till October 28 this fiscal. About 80 per cent of the despatch supply has been made to the power sector. SECL had dispatched around 85 MT of coal during April 1-October 28 in the preceding 2022-23 fiscal.

The company's mega projects Gevra, Dipka, and Kusmunda located in the Korba district have contributed significantly to the total dispatch of 100 million tonnes of coal with 30.3 MT, 19.1 MT and 25.1 MT coal supply, respectively.

Coal India is the world’s largest coal mining company. It also produces non-coking coal and coking coal of various grades for diverse applications.
