Maruti Suzuki, India’s largest car-maker is reportedly planning to unveil an all new premium WagonR Stingray in the small car segment. The new Stingray variant hit the Japanese market last year and carries several improvements that would also be updated in the Indian variant.

WagonR was the second-largest sold car brand in the domestic market till few years back, but slipped to fourth position in FY13. WagonR Stingray is expected to bring back the brand to top three models sold in India.

Maruti Suzuki India registered a surge of over 10% in its car sales for the month of March at 1.2 lakh units as against 1.09 lakh units in February 2013.
