Hero MotoCorp reports 27% rise in September sales

Hero MotoCorp, the country’s largest two-wheeler maker registered 26.75% jump in its September sales at 5,49,625 units against 4,33,641 units in the corresponding month last year. The July to September cumulative sales of the company has stood at 15,44,315 unit, a growth of 20.09% over 12,85,944 units sold in the same period last year.

The company’s sales have been regularly in excess of half a million two-wheelers per month since the formation of new company, setting the pace for its continued leadership.

Earlier, the company registered 18.61% jump in its August sales at 5,03,654 units against 4,24,617 units in the corresponding month last year. The April to August cumulative sales of the company crossed the 25 lakh unit’s milestone a growth of 21% over 2,086,342 units sold in the same period last year.

The company’s net profit for the quarter surged by 13.46% at Rs 557.89 crore as compared to Rs 491.69 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2010. Its total net operating income has increased by 32.29% to Rs 5683.83 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 4296.61 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
