NHPC has received approval for the Joint Venture (JV) Agreement for formation of Joint Venture Company (between NHPC and Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation), subject to necessary approvals from Ministry of Power / NITI Aayog / DIPAM, for implementation of Pumped Storage Hydro Power Projects and Renewable Energy (Solar/ Floating Solar / Wind) Projects in Andhra Pradesh. The Board of Directors of the company in its meeting held on November 6, 2023, has approved the same.

NHPC is engaged in electric power generation by hydroelectric power plants. The company is also engaged in contracts, project management and consultancy works.
