-96.30 (-1.01%) Bajaj Auto, which already holds 30% stake in Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM, is mulling to hike its stake to as much as 90% in the near future. Both the companies are reportedly in talks to finalize a deal in respect to this as soon as possible. However, it remains to be seen, whether the company will directly scale up it holding to 90%, or may first hike it 51% and then in a phased manner, up to 90%.
Bajaj Auto is a $2.3 billion company founded in 1926. It is world’s fourth largest two and three-wheeler manufacturer. Bajaj Auto has three plants in all, two at Waluj and Chakan in Maharashtra and one plant at Pant Nagar in Uttaranchal.
