Tata Motors spurts on subsidiary inking pact to acquire US based Cambric Corporation

Tata Motors is currently trading at Rs 298.00, up by 4.75 points or 1.62% from its previous closing of Rs 293.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 293.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs 298.10 and Rs 290.25 respectively. So far 410366 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 337.05 on 10-Jan-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs 202.95 on 26-Jul-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 295.15 and Rs 277.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 80445.78 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 34.71% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 38.88% and 8.02% respectively.

Tata Motor’s subsidiary, Tata Technologies, has signed definitive agreements for the acquisition of US based Cambric Corporation, a premier engineering services company providing turnkey engineering services to its customers.

This partnership is expected to strengthen Tata Technologies’ global footprint and domain capabilities to provide high end engineering service to a diverse set of existing and new clients, especially in Europe, while providing Cambric access to the Asia pacific region.

Cambric is a US headquartered global engineering service company with a significant footprint in Eastern Europe.  The company has three development centres in Romania and its customers include some of the world’s marquee heavy machinery, agricultural, off-highways and automotive companies.
