Coal India’s subsidiary -- Mahanadi Coalfields has awarded a tender to the joint venture/consortium of DSPL Mining and Sical Logistics, in which the Sical Logistics will have 25% participation. The total contract value is Rs 135 crore, while the contract period is 2 years.

The contract is for hiring of pay loaders and tippers for mechanical transfer of coal/coal measure strata into tipping trucks at surface miner face and transportation of the same to different destinations i.e., sidings/stocks/Reject dump yard at Belpahar & Belpahar L-B-L OCP, Lakhanpur area for a quantity of 2,21,81,780 Te.
