Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) is mulling to integrate its overseas and domestic oil and gas exploration activities. At present, exploration activities for overseas and domestic assets are handled by separate entities - ONGC and ONGC Videsh (OVL). But now, the company is planning to have an integrated technical outfit within ONGC, which will manage both the domestic and overseas exploration activities.

With this initiative, the company aims to cut costs and to leverage each other’s strengths and lead to benefits such as developing technical skills, imbibing the domain knowledge, international quality benchmarking and global technological innovations on fast track.
