Power Grid Corporation of India has been declared as successful bidder under Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) to establish Inter-State Transmission System Project for ‘Transmission Scheme for Integration of Renewable Energy Zone (Phase-II) in Koppal-II (Phase-A & B) and Gadag-II (Phase-A) in Karnataka’ on Build, Own Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis.

The Letter of Intent (LoI) has been received by Power Grid Corporation of India on December 5, 2023. The aforesaid Project comprises establishment of a new 765/400kV Koppal- II Pooling Station; a new 400/220kV Gadag- II Pooling Station; 2 nos of 765kV D/c transmission lines traversing in the state of Karnataka; 1 no of 400kV D/c transmission line traversing in the state of Karnataka as well as associated bay extension works at Narendra and Raichur Substations.
