Pursuant to Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulation 2015, Godawari Power & Ispat has informed that Hira Ferro Alloys (A Subsidiary Company) has commissioned 22 MWp Captive Solar PV Power Plant, out of the proposed capacity of 55MWp and the same has been duly synchronized with the grid. In this regard, we would like to further mention that the Company had earlier commissioned 30 MWp Solar PV Power Plant on 29th March 2023 which was duly intimated to the Stock Exchanges on 30th March 2023 vide our letter under reference number GPIL/NSE&BSE/2023/5081 and thus out of proposed 55MWp capacity, 52 MWp Solar PV Power Plant has been commissioned till date. It may be clarified that that the Company had earlier proposed to set up 60MW Captive Solar PV Power Plant at Bemetra, however the proposed capacity was reduced to 55MWp and could commission only 52MWp due to non-availability of contiguous land. The Company is making efforts to purchase the land for balance 8MWp capacity and the same will be installed & commissioned in due course, when land is purchased. The power generated at said Solar Power Plant will be captively consumed by HFAL. The generation of solar energy will not only support the green initiatives and reduce the carbon foot print, but also help saving in cost of power and overall profitability of the Company.
The above information is a part of company’s filings submitted to BSE.
