Physical rubber prices remain steady lacking market activities

Physical rubber prices remained unchanged for yet another day on Wednesday. The traders lacked movement from both buyers and sellers side as most of them preferred to wait for a clear trend. Also the supply remained weak in the mandis indicating that stocks were being held in expectation of higher prices.

Spot prices for RSS-4 and RSS-5 variety remained unchanged at Rs 214/kg and Rs 211/kg respectively.

In the futures markets the contract of RSS-4 for October delivery closed at Rs 216.90 compared to its previous closing of Rs 215.64, while the contract for November delivery closed at Rs 215.15 compared to its previous closing of Rs 211.84 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange.
