RIL-owned retail company, Reliance Fresh, has dragged Bharti Retail to court over the latter’s claims of cheaper prices for the same products provided by the former’s outlet, by terming them to be misleading price comparisons. Further, the company besides this has also sought damages from Bharti Retail in its application filed at the Delhi high Court.

Reliance Fresh, a unit of Reliance Retail, alleged that Bharti Retail has made these claims through leaflets and newspaper inserts in various cities. Bharti Retail’s Easyday stores has reportedly been undertaking the comparative price campaign for months in various cities nationwide, including Ghaziabad, Aurangabad, Ludhiana, Jaipur among other cities.
