Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.

Kotak Mahindra Bank has taken physical possession of the Deccan Chronicle Holdings’ (DCHL) printing press at Kondapur, as this property was one of the properties mortgaged by DCHL with bank to raise Rs 100 crore. This plant has the printing press of the company, along with the plant, building and machinery.

On May 15, 2013, a court-appointed advocate commissioner along with Kotak Mahindra Bank staff and police to served a notice to seal the press. The bank has taken the actual possession of the printing press at Kondapur after four months of taking legal possession of the premises under the provisions of the Securitisation and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act, 2002 (SARFAESI).
