State Bank of India (SBI) has simultaneously opened ten new branches in Sareni, Rae Bareli district in the state of Uttar Pradesh on May 16, 2013. The branches were launched by Minister of State for Finance and SBI Chairman. A number of bank accounts were opened on the occasion. Besides, State Bank Kisan Cards were issued to borrowers as well as bank drafts under Self Help Group (SHG) linkages along with extension of tractor loans to farmers.

Further, as part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) norms, three ambulances were donated to Vishwas Sansthan, Shri Sarveshwari Samooh, two local NGOs, and the Indian Red Cross Society.
