Reliance Industries has informed that the Company has received a direction under Section 5 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) to pay environment compensation of Rs 1 crore for delay in installation of Vapour Recovery Systems at the storage terminal located at Rewari. The Company is examining the direction and will take appropriate action as legally advised. The financial impact of the above direction is to the extent of the compensation payable by the Company. There is no material impact on financials, operations or other activities of the Company due to the above direction. Copy of the direction of CPCB was received by the Company, via email, on February 23, 2024 at 12:48 pm.
