12.35 (0.44%) Grasim Industries has raised its first Sustainability Linked Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs) of Rs 1250 crore (equivalent to approximately $150 million) from the International Finance Corporation (IFC). The Sustainability-Linked NCDs will support the company’s investment in paint manufacturing. IFC’s investment will accelerate Grasim’s decarbonization drive through the increased adoption of renewable energy and water recycling in the paint manufacturing process.
Grasim Industries is the flagship company of the Aditya Birla Group. The company’s businesses comprise viscose staple fibre, cement, chemicals and textiles. Its core businesses are VSF and cement, which contribute to over 90% of its revenues and operating profits.
