Container Corporation of India has reported results for the quarter ended September 30, 2011.

The company’s net profit for the quarter has declined by 15.15% at Rs 175.42 crore as compared to Rs 206.73 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2010. The company’s total income has increased by 8.92% at Rs 1069.84 crore for the second quarter of the current fiscal from Rs 982.25 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Container Corporation of India is engaged in the business of transportation through containerization and it is the market leader having the largest network of 59 ICDs/CFSs in India.
