United Spirits has allotted 1.45 crore shares to Relay B.V., an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Diageo, at Rs 1440 per share, in terms of preferential allotment agreement entered  into between Relay, the company and Diageo Plc, on November 9, 2012 and also the company’s shareholders by way of special resolution for an aggregate amount of Rs 2092.71 crore.

United Spirits is the largest spirits company in India and a flagship entity of $2 billion UB group. It manufactures wide range of whisky, vodka, rum and other spirits.
