NHPC has reported results for the quarter ended September 30, 2011.

The company’s net profit for the quarter under review grew by 40.03% at Rs 966.47 crore as compared to Rs 690.18 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous Fiscal. The company’s total income has increased by 48.92% at Rs 2162.74 crore for the second quarter of the current fiscal from Rs 1452.37 crore for the second quarter of the previous fiscal.

NHPC is engaged in the planning, development and implementation of an integrated and efficient network of hydroelectric projects in India. It executes all aspects of the development of hydroelectric projects, from concept to commissioning.
