0.45 (0.17%) Power Grid Corporation, state-run power transmission company is likely to raise Rs 8,000 crore in the current fiscal through domestic and international bonds. It is raising this fund as a part of the Rs 20,000 crore capital expenditure planned by the company for FY14. The company reported a 7.53% increase in standalone net profit in March quarter at Rs 1,109.44 crore against Rs 1,031.69 crore year ago.
Power Grid is engaged in bulk power transmission and its responsibility include planning, coordination, supervision and control over inter-State transmission system and operation of National and Regional Power Grids.
