Eicher Motors and Volvo Group’s joint venture firm, VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) has reported a rise of 2.80% in its total sales of Eicher branded products at 3,687 units in May 2013, against 3,587 units in the same month in 2012.

The company’s domestic sales stood at 3,488 units in May 2013, up 1.60% as against 3,432 units in the year-ago period, while the exports surged by 28.40% during the month to 199 units from 155 units in May, 2012.

VECV's sales of light commercial vehicles in the Indian market dipped 3.50% to 1,833 units during the month from 1,899 units in May 2012, while the heavy commercial vehicle sales were lower by 30.94% to 415 units from 601 units in May 2012.
