Tata Global Beverages soars on registering 49% growth in Q2 consolidated net profit

Tata Global Beverages is currently trading at Rs. 91.80, up by 2.05 points or 2.28% from its previous closing of Rs. 89.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 92.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 92.90 and Rs. 91.50 respectively. So far 292087 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 134.00 on 11-Nov-2010 and a 52 week low of Rs. 80.90 on 05-Oct-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 92.90 and Rs. 84.85 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 5550.13 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 35.24% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 40.56% and 24.19% respectively. 

Tata Global Beverages has reported unaudited results for the second quarter ended September 30, 2011.

The company’s net profit after tax for the second quarter surged by 66.15% at Rs 50.46 crore as compared to Rs 30.37 crore for the corresponding quarter last year. Its total income increased 11.07% at Rs 538.38 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 484.72 crore for the same quarter last year.

On consolidated basis, the group has posted a growth of 49.10% in its net profit at Rs 76.95 crore as compared to Rs 51.61 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2010. Its total Income has increased by 11.83% at Rs 1649.23 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 1474.82 crore for the similar quarter of the previous year.
