Eicher Motors and Volvo Group's joint venture (JV) company -- VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) has posted 9.73% rise in total sales at 6,901 units in May 2024 as compared to the same month last year. It had sold 6,289 units in May 2023.

In the domestic front, Eicher branded trucks and buses recorded sales of 6,304 units in May 2024 as compared to 5,826 units in May 2023. Exports of Eicher branded trucks and buses were up 66% at 415 units in May 2024 as compared to 250 units in May 2023.  

However, in contrast, the total sales of Volvo Trucks & Buses witnessed a 14.6% decline, totaling 182 units in May 2024 as opposed to 213 units Year-on-Year. 

Eicher Motors is an India-based company, which is engaged in manufacturing automobile products and related components. The company operates in business verticals, including motorcycles, commercial vehicles and personal utility vehicles.
