-1.20 (-0.28%) Coal India has reported 7.51% rise in coal production to 64.4 million tonnes (MT) during May 2024 as compared to 59.9 MT in May 2023. It produced 126.2 MT of coal during April-May period, up 7.4% from 117.5 million tons during the same period previous year.
In May 2024, Coal offtake increased to 68.2 MT from 63.7 MT. The total offtake of coal during the April-May period increased to 132.3 MT, up 5% from 125.9 MT in the corresponding period last fiscal.
