Larsen & Toubro shines on bagging contract worth Rs 900 crore from Wave Group

Larsen & Toubro is currently trading at Rs. 1400.90, up by 3.60 points or 0.26% from its previous closing of Rs. 1397.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1385.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1406.40 and Rs. 1382.10 respectively. So far 49,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1719.50 on 29-Oct-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1288.50 on 15-Jun-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1444.00 and Rs. 1385.85 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 86270 crore.

The Institutions and Non-Institutions held 52.86% and 43.55% respectively.

Larsen & Toubro (L&T), the infrastructure conglomerate has received contract to build residential towers in Noida. The company has received the same from Wave Group's realty arm Wave Infratech and the contract value is Rs 900 crore.  Wave Infratech is building a mixed-use project 'Wave City Center' spread across 152 acres, which the company had bagged through an auction for about Rs 6,500 crore. 

The company has received the contract for construction of residential towers at Wave City Center for the first phase of the project. The first phase of the township will be constructed in 9.5 million sq ft out of total 40 million sq ft. The company will soon start construction of the first phase that is slated for delivery by 2016.
