HCL Technologies gains on entering into multi-year engagement with Vestas Wind Systems

HCL Technologies is currently trading at Rs. 764.05, up by 4.65 points or 0.61% from its previous closing of Rs. 759.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 763.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 764.90 and Rs. 760.25 respectively. So far 6,546 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 809.00 on 17-Apr-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs. 453.90 on 26-Jun-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 783.00 and Rs. 750.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 53,235.00 crore.

HCL Technologies a leading global IT services company has entered into a multi-year engagement with Vestas Wind Systems A/S as their strategic partner. Vestas is a global leader in manufacturing, selling, installing, and servicing of wind turbine power-plants.

HCL will provide application development and management- and IT-consultancy services to applications run by Vestas as part of this engagement. The services will be delivered to Vestas primarily from India and also from the Philippines and across locations in Denmark. Besides cost reduction, Vestas IT expects to gain increased flexibility in terms of skills, scale, knowledge and experience and achieve higher quality by using the HCL’s best in class processes and services.
