Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL), one of the leading company in the petroleum sector in India is planning to bid for city-gas projects in Kochi (Kerala) and Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh). The company will also launch around 600-700 new retail outlets with a special focus on rural markets this fiscal.
The company believes that there is a huge potential in the markets of Hyderabad and Kochi so it is keen to bid for city gas projects in those areas.
The company’s net profit for the fourth quarter has surged by 32.99% at Rs 935.18 crore as compared to Rs 703.18 crore for the corresponding quarter last year. Its total income has increased by 19.97% at Rs 45782.05 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 38158.70 crore in the corresponding previous quarter.
