-96.30 (-1.01%) Bajaj Auto, the second-largest motorcycle manufacturer is expecting a 33% fall in production because of the employee strike at Chakan plant near Pune that began on June 25. It is likely to manufacture 50,000 motorbikes in June and July each at its Chakan plant compared with the usual 75,000 a month.
The production at Chakan plant partially resumed on June 26, 2013. The workers are protesting against the management's refusal to allot them equity shares of the company at a heavily discounted price.
