Physical rubber prices plunge on weak global cues
Date: 11-11-2011Physical rubber prices continued their declining trend and plunged on Thursday. Though, the domestic futures market remained closed owing to Gurunanak Jayanti but the spot prices after a weak start fell further in latter trade as the international future prices slumped on concerns over the global economic outlook and subsiding demand.
Spot prices for RSS-4 variety closed at Rs 185/kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 195/kg, while the RSS-5 variety closed at Rs 181/kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 193/kg.
