M&M’s tractor business gains market share in last two months

Mahindra & Mahindra’s tractor business has gained some market share in last two months. The company will launch the new product in calendar year 2014. As of now, the company is not planning any price cuts in near-term.

Recently, the company’s Farm Equipment Sector (FES) had achieved an impressive 17% growth in June 2013. Total tractor sales (domestic plus exports) in June 2013 stood at 27,749 units, as against 23,765 units for the same period last year.

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) is the flagship company of the Mahindra Group, a multinational conglomerate based in Mumbai, India. Amongst the various business interests of its parent group, the company is mainly involved in the automobile manufacturing. It is one of the leading auto companies of India.
