M&M trades higher on the bourses

M&M is currently trading at Rs. 817.00, up by 4.00 points or 0.49% from its previous closing of Rs. 813.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 812.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 821.40 and Rs. 805.50 respectively. So far 70325 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 874.75 on 28-Oct-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 585.10 on 28-Feb-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 849.80 and Rs. 805.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 49916.15 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 25.18% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 47.03% and 21.28% respectively. 

Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M), country’s largest utility vehicle maker has boosted the production of Yuvraj215 tractors at its Shapar plant from 1,800 units to 2,500 units per year. The company has rolled out the 13,636th Yuvraj215 at the plant with a wide response from various parts of the country.

M&M, a part of the $12.5 billion Mahindra Group, has reported 20% rise in its auto sales numbers, which stood at 41,506 units during October 2011 as against 34,495 units during October 2010. The company’s domestic sales stood at 39,352 units during October 2011, as against 32,491 units during October 2010, up by 21%.

Further, the 4-wheeler commercial segment which includes the passenger and load categories has registered an impressive growth of 41%. The company’s XUV500 has received a phenomenal response with 8000 plus bookings in just 10 days and we are currently in the process of expediting deliveries before re-opening bookings.
