L&T soars on the buzz of bagging Oman road project

Larsen & Toubro is currently trading at Rs. 1424.95, up by 32.25 points or 2.32% from its previous closing of Rs. 1392.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1404.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1426.75 and Rs. 1404.90 respectively. So far 66605 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1719.50 on 29-Oct-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1308.00 on 27-Jul-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1453.65 and Rs. 1336.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 87678.98 crore.

The Institutions and Non-Institutions held 52.86% and 43.55% stake respectively in the company.

Larsen and Toubro (L&T) has reportedly emerged as a successful bidder to build Batinah road project in the northwest of Oman. The project, which is estimated to cost around $352 million, has a construction period of two years.

Meanwhile, the company has fixed July 13, 2013 as the record date to determine the members entitled to receive the bonus share. The board of directors, at their meeting held on May 22, had recommended the issue of bonus shares in the ratio of 1:2.
