JM Financial has clarified that the news item appearing on the website of https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/ on October 9, 2024 captioned as ‘CCI clears JM Financial's 43 pc stake buy in JM Fin Credit Solutions’ is true and correct. A copy of the disclosure made by us in this regard is enclosed for your information and ready reference. It received the above communication from the Competition Commission of India (the CCI) through lawyers late in the evening yesterday. The Company was in the process of making the required disclosure pursuant to Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 today within the stipulated time period, pending which it received the above communication from the exchange seeking clarification. The contents of our letters dated July 6, 2024 and October 9, 2024, copies whereof are enclosed, are self-explanatory and provides the detailed information sought by the exchange vide its above communication. With regard to the specific query of the exchange relating to increase in the market price of our securities, kindly note that, apart from the above disclosure made by the Company, it do not have any information, which in its view, has any bearing on the increase in the price of its securities. In our view, therefore, the increase in the price of the Company’s securities by 4.58%, is purely market driven.
