Reliance Industries has informed that the Company has received an order dated October 15, 2024 (‘Order’) from the Superintendent of Central Goods & Services Tax and Central Excise, Division - I, Lucknow, levying on the Company a penalty of Rs. 64,917 under Section 74 of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, the Uttar Pradesh Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 and the Integrated Goods and Services Act, 2017. The Order has been passed alleging incorrect availment of input tax credit by the Company. The Company intends to file an appeal against the Order. The financial impact of the Order is to the extent of the penalty levied. There is no impact on operations or other activities of the Company due to the Order. Intimation of the Order was received by the Company on October 16, 2024, by email, at 11:04 am (IST).
