Tata Motors' owned Jaguar Land Rover’s UK production line is likely to face halt in production within weeks, as reportedly delivery workers from DHL have voted for strike, demanding a large pay rise and similar terms and conditions on par with the JLR staff. Logistics giant DHL’s staff plays a key role in managing warehouse operations and bringing parts to production lines. DHL has about 1,800 workers at JLR's three main factories- 1,000 between Castle Bromwich and Solihull in the Midlands and 800 at Halewood, Merseyside.

Tata Motors’ total sales (including exports) of Tata commercial and passenger vehicles in June 2013 stood at 52,708 units. The company’s domestic sales of Tata commercial and passenger vehicles for June 2013 were 48,712 vehicles. Cumulative sales (including exports) for the company for the fiscal were 153,191 units.
