8.15 (2.40%) Tata Motors-owned Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has registered 7% increase in its global sales at 33,739 units in June 2013. It has sold 6,574 Jaguar vehicles, a 34% increase from a year earlier, while Land Rover sales rose 2% to 27,165 units in June from a year earlier. The automaker was able to achieve these sales in various markets, including China, North America and Asia Pacific. However, Jaguar sales were 5% lower in Europe. As of now JLR had sold 2,10,190 vehicles in the first six months of 2013, a 14% increase over the same period last year.
Recently, JLR has rolled out the Jaguar F-Type, a two-seater convertible sports-car, in two variants - F-Type S and F-Type V8S, in India. It is charging Rs 1.37 crore for F-Type S and Rs 1.61 crore for F-Type V8S at ex-showroom Mumbai, pre-Octroi.
