-15.85 (-1.13%) Reliance Gas Pipeline (RGPL), a subsidiary of Reliance Industries (RIL) has received the nod from the petroleum and natural gas regulatory board to lay, build and operate a natural gas pipeline from Shahdol in Madhya Pradesh to Phulpur in Uttar Pradesh. This gas pipeline will have the capacity of 3.5 mmscmd. The regulator has asked the company to commission the pipeline in the next 36 months. RGPL has furnished a performance bond of Rs 13.02 crore as a guarantee for timely commissioning of the project.
RIL is an oil refining, petrochemicals and upstream (mainly natural gas at present) company. It has two highly complex refineries with combined capacity of 1.24 million barrels per day and domestic proved reserves of 660 million barrel of oil equivalent as at end-March 2013.
