Post outsourcing its construction and facility management activities, Realty major DLF has reduced its employee strength by 1,100, or about 30%, during 2012-13. The company was left with 2,600 employees at the end of 2012-13 as against 3,700 employees at the end of 2011-12. However, 1,100 employees have not been laid-off but have been redeployed to the outsourcing firms.
In a bid to avoid delays, country's largest realty firm outsourced construction for its current and upcoming projects to contractors such as Larsen and Toubro.
