Tata Metaliks resumes operation at Mini Blast Furnace 1 at Kharagpur

Tata Metaliks has resumed operation at Mini Blast Furnace 1 at Kharagpur from July 22, 2013. The operation at the plant was stopped from July 03, 2013 on account of the annual repair work.

Tata Metaliks was set up as a joint venture between Tata Steel and WBIDC (West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation) to manufacture pig iron at its plant at Kharagpur, West Bengal. It has two plants at present, one located at Kharagpur (West Bengal) and the other at Redi (Maharashtra).
