Yes Bank plunges despite reporting 38% surge in Q1 net profit

Yes Bank is currently trading at Rs. 389.10, down by 49.65 points or 11.32% from its previous closing of Rs. 438.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 422.10 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 423.20 and Rs. 375.10 respectively. So far 3014906 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 547.15 on 20-May-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs. 322.30 on 06-Sep-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 454.95 and Rs. 417.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 13939.09 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 25.64%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 61.71% and 12.64% respectively.

Yes Bank has reported a rise of 38.15% in its net profit at Rs 400.84 crore for the quarter, as compared to Rs 290.14 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income from operation of the bank has increased by 30.61% to Rs 2839.97 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 2174.44 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2012.

Gross non-performing assets (NPAs) improved to 0.22% in the April-June quarter as against 0.28% in the same quarter previous year while, net NPAs decreased to 0.03%.
