-1.20 (-0.28%) Coal India has reported rise of 0.7% in coal production to 72.40 million tonnes (MT) (Provisional) during December 2024 as compared to 71.9 MT (Provisional) in December 2023. It produced 543.4 MT (Provisional) of coal during April- December period, up 2.2% from 531.9 MT (Provisional) during the same period previous year.
In December 2024, Coal offtake increased by 2.45% to 68.6 MT (Provisional) from 67.0 MT (Provisional) in December 2023. The total offtake of coal during the April- December period increased to 561.2 MT (Provisional), up 1.6% from 552.3 MT (Provisional) in the corresponding period last fiscal.
