Tata Motors trades in the green on the BSE

Tata Motors is currently trading at Rs. 285.50, up by 1.10 points or 0.39% from its previous closing of Rs. 284.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 283.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 287.90 and Rs. 278.00 respectively. So far 205423 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 337.05 on 10-Jan-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs. 216.25 on 03-Aug-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 303.10 and Rs. 282.75 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 76545.66 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 34.35% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 37.98% and 8.43% respectively.

Tata Motors, the country’s largest automotive player and the world’s fourth largest truck and bus manufacturer is thinking over a price hike of the products in order to lessen the affect of the volatility in rupee and rising input costs. The quantum of the hike will be depending on the various models.

The company’s total sales (including exports) of Tata commercial and passenger vehicles in June 2013 stood at 52,708 units. The company’s domestic sales of Tata commercial and passenger vehicles for June 2013 were 48,712 vehicles. Cumulative sales (including exports) for the company for the fiscal were 153,191 units.
