-12.90 (-1.01%) ICICI Bank, the country’s private sector lender has reportedly opened 38 new Gramin branches across Punjab, Rajasthan and Haryana, as part of its financial inclusion plan that aims at providing banking services in un-banked villages. Among the 38 Gramin branches the 20 branches are located in Rajasthan while remaining 18 branches are located across Punjab and Haryana. All the Gramin branches have been opened in small villages, which were so far devoid of any banking facility.
ICICI Bank is India's largest private sector bank and the second largest bank in the country, with consolidated total assets of $122 billion at December 31, 2012. The Bank’s presence currently spans 19 countries, including India.
