-3.10 (-0.89%) India’s biggest truck and bus maker Tata Motors’ unit Jaguar Land Rover is targeting to sell 100,000 cars in China this year. Meanwhile, the company’s total sales including exports of commercial and passenger vehicles in July 2013 stood at 51,468 units. The company’s domestic sales of commercial and passenger vehicles for July 2013 were 47,191 vehicles. Cumulative sales including exports for the company for the fiscal were 204,659 units.
Recently, Tata Motors posted a 23% fall in quarterly profit as higher sales of its luxury Jaguar Land Rover vehicles failed to offset sagging sales at home. The company’s consolidated net profit for the quarter ended in June was Rs 1726 crore, compared with Rs 2245 crore a year ago.
