Coal India reports marginal fall in coal production during February

Coal India has reported fall of 0.8% in coal production to 74.1 million tonnes (MT) (Provisional) during February 2025 as compared to 74.8 MT (Provisional) in February 2024. However, it produced 695.3 MT (Provisional) of coal during April 2024 - February 2025 period, up 1.5% from 685.1 MT (Provisional) during the same period previous year.  

In February 2025, coal offtake decreased by 4.8% to 62.1 MT (Provisional) from 65.3 MT (Provisional) in February 2024. The total offtake of coal during the April 2024 - February 2025 period increased to 693.4 MT (Provisional), up 1.3% from 684.7 MT (Provisional) in the corresponding period last fiscal.
