The company had reported a net loss of Rs 39.44 crore in July-September quarter 2011 against Rs 78.34 crore in the year-ago period. The net sales of the country's largest integrated sugar manufacturing company fell by 1.09% to Rs 502.75 crore in the second quarter as against Rs 508.28 crore in the same period last fiscal.
Balrampur Chini is one of the largest integrated sugar manufacturers in India. Its business portfolio consists of manufacturing and marketing of sugar, ethyl alcohol, ethanol, generation and selling of power and also manufacturing and marketing of organic manure.
