NHPC is all set to raise funds through issue of Unsecured, Redeemable, Taxable, Non-Convertible, Non-Cumulative AF-Series Bonds up to Rs 2,000 crore in one or more tranche through private placement, as part of the borrowing plan for FY2025-26.

The Board of Directors in its meeting held on April 23, 2025 had considered and approved the perusal of Key Information Document (KID) for raising of funds. 

NHPC is engaged in electric power generation by hydroelectric power plants. The company is also engaged in contracts, project management and consultancy work.
